The fine print

Terms

The rules for using this site and taking part in Yugaantar 2.0.

Who we are

Yugaantar 2.0 is the inter-college fest of Scaler School of Technology, Bengaluru, run by its students. This site is for registering and paying for events and following them. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Taking part

  • Students of any college with a valid college ID can take part, unless an event page says otherwise.
  • You must be 18 or older, or have a parent's or guardian's consent.
  • Each event page sets its own eligibility, team rules and fee. Those apply on top of these terms.
  • A team leader who adds teammates' details confirms that each teammate agreed to share them.

Your account

Use one account per person, keep your details true, and look after your sign-in. Organisers use your details to reach you and to check your ID.

Fees and payment

Each paid event shows its fee, in Indian rupees, on its event page. Payments go through Razorpay, a payment gateway; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Fees are non-refundable once paid, except as set out on the refunds page.

At the fest

  • Bring your college ID. It must match your registered name.
  • Harassment, ragging, abuse, violence, alcohol, drugs and damage to property are not allowed. Organisers can remove anyone who breaks these rules, with no refund.
  • Judges' decisions are final. Breaking an event's rules can mean disqualification, with no refund.
  • Look after your belongings. We are not responsible for lost or damaged items.

Changes to events

We may change an event's schedule, venue, format or rules when we have to, and we tell registered participants. If we cancel an event, its fees are refunded in full.

Your work, photos and videos

  • You keep ownership of what you submit. Where an event's rules say so, you let us screen, repost or show parts of it, with credit to you.
  • The fest is photographed and filmed. By attending, you agree that photos and videos with you in them may be used to share and promote Yugaantar 2.0.

Law and disputes

These terms follow the laws of India, and disputes go to the courts in Bengaluru. Please write to us first at Festcouncil_yugaantar@scaler.com so we can try to fix it.
